Losing your phone sucks. Here's how to to find it.

This article applies to iOS (iPhones). For Android, check out our article on How to Find Your Android Phone.

  • Decide whether it may be stolen or just misplaced. If you don't know for sure, one possibility may be more likely depending on the circumstances. This matters because some potential steps are a good idea only if you know (or strongly suspect) it's been stolen.
  • Check the map. If you have another Apple device like an iPad or Mac, use the Find My app to see if your lost iPhone appears on the map. If you don't have access to another Apple device, you can also access Find My via iCloud on the web.
