HTML

HyperText Markup Language

The original standard markup language (code) used to create web pages on the Internet.

Unlike newer standards such as xHTML, HTML was designed with desktop PCs in mind, and thus is not particularly well-suited to pages that can be viewed on mobile devices with small screens and limited input options.

Still, some more advanced mobile devices can display web sites written with HTML, although usability of such sites varies greatly.
