BIP

Basic Imaging Profile

A Bluetooth profile (mode) that includes several image-related functions.

Not all Bluetooth devices support BIP, and not all Bluetooth devices with BIP support all of its functions.

The most common BIP function on phones is Image Push, which allows a phone to send an image directly to a Bluetooth-enabled device such as a printer.

More advanced (and less common) BIP functions include Image Pull, Advanced Image Printing, Automatic Archive, Remote Camera control, and Remote Display.
