EIS

Electronic Image Stabilization

Technology that compensates for unintentional camera movement without any physical moving parts, particularly when recording video.

The main alternative technology, OIS (optical image stabilization) does use physical moving parts.

OIS is generally superior. Many higher-end phones employ both technologies.
